Le Bayit, life skills training in a duplex: in development Over the past few years, we’ve been working with public and private partners to develop a housing readiness program in a real life environment. The program offers young adults the chance to sleep away from home on a regular basis and improve their life skills. It’s scheduled to open in Fall 2026. Supportive Housing: in development We’re also working with public and private partners to develop new inclusive housing opportunities for adults with low to moderate support needs–groups of adults renting apartments in buildings open to everybody and sharing support staff supervised by Alink. We call our model PODS™–or Planned Opportunities for Development and Support. Our first POD, a partnership with the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, launched in January 2026. Called The Arlene Fels Housing POD to honour a major Alink donor, it includes four young adults renting apartments on the same floor of a building and sharing our educators 35 hours/week.
